Vaduz is the capital of the Principality of Liechtenstein. It borders directly on the Rhine in the west. The town's landmark is the 12th century castle, which was extensively renovated at the beginning of the 20th century. There are four important museums in the town itself, including the National Museum and the Art Museum. The Liechtenstein Treasury contains the princely collection of valuable treasures and works of art, including the princely hat, which resembles a European crown. The medieval, listed "Red House" is also worth a visit. This stepped gabled house also has a vineyard. To the right of the residential tower is a winery building with a press.
