Visit the landmark of Lucerne and enjoy the steepest cogwheel train in the world.
Start your journey at the valley station Alpnachstad or Kriens and experience the 30-minute ride on the steepest cogwheel train in the world (from Alpnachstad) or take the panoramic gondola and aerial cable car "Dragon Ride" (from Kriens).
At the summit of Lucerne's local mountain, you will enjoy stunning views of the Swiss mountains, Lake Lucerne, and the city of Lucerne—either from the spacious outdoor panorama terrace or from the cozy indoor panorama gallery.
In just a few minutes, you can also reach one of the three peaks of Pilatus Kulm (Esel, Oberhaupt, or Tomlishorn) and enjoy hiking in the Swiss mountains or along the Dragon Path.
The Pilatus is also known as Dragon Mountain, as legends about a dragon are said to live there—find out more about these myths in the Dragon World at Pilatus Kulm.
In Alpnachstad and at Pilatus Kulm, you can try some specialties at one of the restaurants. Even Queen Victoria visited Pilatus, and one of the restaurants at Pilatus Kulm is named after her.
If you decide to take the cable car to/from Kriens, you can enjoy various recreational activities (at an additional cost), such as the largest rope park in Central Switzerland (suitable for visitors aged 4 and up), hang gliding, or the longest summer toboggan run in Switzerland at the Fräkmüntegg station.
At Fräkmüntegg, you will transfer to the aerial cable car "Dragon Ride" and reach the summit of Pilatus Kulm at 2,132 m above sea level.

- It operates in almost all weather, so dress accordingly
- Note that this is a self-guided tour where no guide will be waiting for you.
- Children under 6 (age 0 - 5.99 years) can join for free
- You can choose your starting and ending point (Kriens and/or Alpnachstad).
- Transport to the starting and ending point is not included.

el precio me parece excesivo solo para utilizar la cremallera, el teleférico estaba en obras y no pudimos utilizarlo. 78 francos me parece muy atrevido para el trayecto de ida y vuelta en tren. Pero bueno ha sido una experiencia única que seguramente nunca se repetirá

Sehr professionelle Abwicklung der Reise und der Buchung. Verbessert werden könnte die Information, ob eine Reservierung erforderlich ist oder nicht. Wir waren an einem leicht regnerischen Tag da. Sowohl die Auf- als auch die Abfahrt erforderten keine Reservierung...wir hatten auch keine. An einem sonnigen Tag sieht das vermutlich ganz anders aus. Muss man dann als "Nicht-Reservierer" stundenlang warten? Ansonsten ein wirklich tolles Erlebnis.
