Kerns is a village that includes almost the entire Melch valley. Here you can find the popular ski resort Melchsee-Frutt with 36 km of slopes. The winter sports area stretches from Stöckalp (1080 m above sea level) to Balmeregghorn at an altitude of 2255 m above sea level. A plateau located here allows sunny winter hikes. The nature reserve Melchsee offers interesting fens with natural biotopes and alpine pastures. Photo: Kerns Melchsee-Frutt (Switzerland Tourism - Freddy Enguix)
