Elsigen Metsch ticket cable car

The ticket takes you with the cable car up to Elsigenalp. After the beautiful ride you can enjoy the unique view of the surrounding region. At the top you can also discover the many hiking routes and leisurely walks through the fascinating Swiss mountains.

The ride of the cable car starts at the valley station Elsigbach. If required, you can book the bus ride to and from Achseten Kirch in addition.

Bottom station: Elsigbach

During approx. 7 min. you ride up to Elsigenalp with a modern aerial cableway. You will overcome an altitude difference of 470 meters. The view on the way is breathtakingly beautiful.

Mountain station: Elsigenalp

Once you have reached the top, the first thing you do is admire the fantastic view of the surrounding region. Then you discover the many hiking routes and leisurely walks through the fascinating mountain world.

Distance bus ride:

From Achseten Kirch to Elsigbach valley station and back. The bus runs only on order/advance booking.

Practical information:

• With a Regional Pass Bernese Oberland you travel free of charge by bus and cable car.

Near the valley station is the famous Choleren Gorge. This gorge fascinates every visitor with waterfalls and narrow rock formations. You can safely discover the beautiful gorge on bridges and well-prepared paths. The hike across the gorge takes about an hour in total and is worthwhile for every visitor to the region.

• June: from 09:00 to 17:00
• July + August: from 08:30 to 17:00
• September + October: from 09:00 to 17:00

Timetable bus:

• From Achseten Church: every hour from 09:05 to 16:05
• From Elsigbach (valley station): every hour from 09:35 to 16:35

• Children up to and including the age of 15 accompanied by parents free of charge. Junior ticket required!
