2-day guided Churfirstentour

You'll meet your guide and other participants bright and early at 5:50 AM. On the first day, you'll climb four of the seven Churfirsten peaks altogether.

Afterward, you'll head back to the Sellamatt mountain hotel, where you'll receive meals (afternoon snack and a four-course dinner) and stay overnight. Your luggage has already been transported from the meeting point to the hotel.

Following an early breakfast, the hike to the last three of the Churfirsten begins. Along the way, a refreshing drink and local meat and cheese specialties will be served at the Ochsenhütte.

The guided mountain tour ends with your return to the starting point via shuttle bus, which will have your luggage from the hotel.

Summit of the seven Churfirsten:

• Chäserrugg, Hinterrugg, Schibenstoll, and Zuestoll (first day)
• Brisi, Frümsel, Selun (second day)

Practical Information:

• This tour requires very good endurance, especially for descents.
• Small group of four to six participants.
• It’s recommended to travel the day before and stay overnight.
• You can directly book the night from Friday to Saturday at the Sellamatt mountain hotel at a special rate.

If you like the Toggenburg region and want to stay a bit longer in the mountain hotel, we recommend the Sagenweg. You can download the individual stories for a small fee to your mobile or tablet. The easy-to-walk Sagenweg can be completed in 3 to 5 hours (short and long options). Over a distance of 12 km, you’ll only gain 250 meters in elevation.

This tour includes an overnight stay from Saturday to Sunday.

Since the guided tour starts very early in the morning, we recommend that you arrive on Friday. You can book the night from Friday to Saturday directly at the Berghotel Sellamatt for a special price.

Note:

• The Berghotel Sellamatt is easily reachable by the Sellamattbahn from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Access to the Berghotel Sellamatt is via a toll Alp road (15 CHF/day per car). There is free parking available at the Berghotel.

• Prerequisite: fitness for 10 hours of hiking per day
• Safe on blue-white hiking trails and sure-footed in rough terrain
