Winter is a poem, at least in the Swiss Alps. When the white winter coat covers the mountains, they reveal their full splendor. It’s time to unpack your skis, snowboard, sled, or snowshoes. You’ll experience the majestic mountain world in your own way. In the Jungfrau region ski areas, you're close to the ice giants Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. The Glacier 3000 arena in the Gstaad ski area offers a unique glacier world waiting to be conquered. Even James Bond was skiing in Switzerland at the Mürren Schilthorn ski area on Her Majesty's Secret Service. Thanks to the trains of the Berner Oberlandbahn, you can reach the main ski areas of the Jungfrau region every half hour. With the Jungfrau Region ski pass, you can have fun in all the ski areas of the Berner Oberland.
The Grindelwald First region is a popular destination year-round for hikers, climbers, and paragliders. The winter sports season starts around mid-December and lasts until mid-April, with the exact date determined by weather conditions.
