Verzasca is a municipality that includes almost the entire Verzasca Valley. It was formed by the merger of the following municipalities: Corippo, Vogorno, Brione, Frasco, Sonogno and a large part of Lavertezzo Valle. These villages were founded in the 13th century at the latest and some of them have very beautiful centers. In Lavertezzo you will find a pedestrian bridge over the Verzasca river, also known as the "Roman bridge". The Ponte dei Salti is curved in two arches and was built in the 17th century.
