With this train ticket, you can travel from Chur to St. Moritz or from St. Moritz to Chur. You travel along the impressive Plessur Alps and the Albula Alps. As you approach Bergün from Chur, you will see the Piz Ela peak (3339 m above sea level) on your right. The world-famous Landwasser Viaduct and the Albula line are also part of this impressive route. Here, the train repeatedly changes sides of the valley and overcomes the difference in altitude via helical tunnels.
Route:
The regional train takes 2:02 hours for this route. Between Preda and Spinas you pass through the Albula Tunnel. Between Thusis and St. Moritz you travel along the UNESCO World Heritage railroad line.
Practical information:
The section between Thusis and St. Moritz is a high mountain section of the Albula Railway. Its landmark is the Landwasser Viaduct near Filisur, which is 65 m high and 136 m long. This stone bridge leads directly into the Landwasser tunnel. The railroad line is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site extending as far as Tirano (IT).
