The UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch covers an area of 400 km2. Here you will find large moorland landscapes, alpine meadows and wild mountain streams. Did you know that the Entlebuch is also known as "Lucerne's Wild West"?
On the road with a wheelchair
- BLS trains increasingly have low-floor entrances (marked NF in the timetable).
- The SBB Callcenter Handicap also organizes assistance with changing trains for BLS trains where platforms have not yet been raised and floors have not yet been adapted. It will help you to prepare for barrier-free travel or if you need assistance en route.
Out and about with the dog
- Small dogs up to 30 cm are free of charge if they remain in a transport container for the entire journey. This must be pushed under your seat.
- Dogs without a container and all dogs over 30 cm shoulder height require a valid dog ticket: half the price of 2nd class or the minimum fare (Dog Day Pass, Dog Pass). They must sit under the seat so that the passageway is not blocked for other passengers.
