Description
Experience the ultimate sledging fun on the Rigi. With the day ticket for the mountain railroads you can use the various toboggan runs as often as you like
Many paths lead to the Rigi: from Goldau the rack railroad takes you to the summit station Rigi Kulm. You can also reach the summit via Weggis with the cable car (change to the rack railroad in Kaltbad) or with the first rack railroad in Europe from Vitznau with a stop in Kaltbad-Staffel
Dress warmly for the weather so you can enjoy the day outside sledding without shivering and freezing. The day ticket offers you unlimited rides to the Rigi from different starting points. This gives you unlimited access to the toboggan runs on Rigi.
Two toboggan runs start from Rigi Kulm: The longest toboggan run of over 3.5 km and over 400 m difference in altitude goes via Schwändi to Rigi Klösterli. The second toboggan run is said to be the most beautiful on the Rigi. It leads you over 3 km toboggan run also to Rigi Klösterli.
Another toboggan run starts from the Staffel station and leads you on an almost 2 km long toboggan run past the Rotstock ski lift to Rigi Klösterli.
The day ticket gives you enough time to try out all the toboggan runs in one day. You decide which way you want to go back to the valley or to your starting point.
Practical information:
- Chargeable parking available at the valley stations (Vitznau, Weggis, Goldau and Kräbel)
- Arrival by public transport possible
- The Rigi Sport Kiosk in Rigi Kaltbad rents out sledges if required
Swiss Activities Tip
Round off your sledging day with a boat trip including fondue or raclette. With delicious Swiss cheese from the Urnerboden and a rich side buffet, both specialties are a complete pleasure. The fondue and raclette boat sails from Lucerne across Lake Lucerne every Friday throughout the winter. The perfect end to your sledging trip on the Rigi.
Important Information
- Take with you: sled, warm winter clothing, good shoes
- Please check the winter sports report for which slopes are open
- Please check the timetables on the day of travel
- If the sledding slopes are closed, the ticket can be used for the trip to Rigi and back

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Leider habe ich bei der Online Bestellung der Tickets nicht gesehen (es steht ganz unten auf der Mobile Website nach einer Werbung), dass Kinder bis 16 Jahre in Begleitung eines Erwachsenen kostenlos fahren dürfen.

Wir war zu 4 unterwegs in verschiedene Schlittenwege,es ist hochgefährlich,gibt mehrere Dellen/Wellen wo man einfach nicht mehr anhalten kann,und passiert mehrere Unfälle vor unsere Auge, Rettungshubschrauber in Einsatz könnte auch nicht ausbleiben,wir war einfach schockiert.wir habe paar schöne Momente gehabt aber das alles was wir genießen konnten..
