First Cliff Walk by Tissot

The First Cliff Walk by Tissot is an adventure trail that runs as a footbridge directly along the cliff at 2166 meters above sea level. A suspension bridge has also been integrated into the adventure trail. This provides a very special thrill. It was built as a single-rope suspension bridge close to the rock face

Both ends of the curved suspension bridge are anchored in the rock face. It has a walkway that is made of metal mesh, allowing an airy view into the depths. Nevertheless, it is sturdily built. However, when many people walk across it at the same time, it sways a bit.

The view into the 4000-mountain world is unusually beautiful and gets a boost on a small viewing platform. This leads about 45 meters above the abyss and has a glass floor. Bachalpsee near Grindelwald First

Bachalpsee is about an hour's walk from Grindelwald First. The mountain lake, which lies at 2266 meters above sea level, is considered particularly picturesque. Location and arrival at Grindelwald First

Grindelwald is connected to an excellent transport network.

by car

Via the freeways you can reach Interlaken from Zurich, Geneva or Basel via Bern or Lucerne. From Interlaken the Grindelwaldstrasse Route 6 leads between the mountains to Grindelwald.

If you want to arrive by car or motorcycle from the direction of Meiringen, the pass road over the Grosse Scheidegg offers an adventurous approach. In winter, however, you can expect the pass to be closed.

Parking is available at the valley station of the First cable cars. At the parking lot of the Pfingsteggbahn you will find long term parking. From both parking lots, it is best to take the ski bus 22 in winter, which goes directly to the valley station of the Grindelwald First gondola.
