Testa Grigia is located at an altitude of 3458 m above sea level on the border between Switzerland and Italy. You can reach this spot year-round via the Glacier Ride II cable car connection from Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. The view of the Matterhorn and the surrounding Alps from here is indescribably beautiful. You can also ski and snowboard in the SnowXperience Plateau Rosa during the summer. A lovely high-alpine hiking trail leads from Testa Grigia to Klein Matterhorn along Plateau Rosa. Here, you have a wonderful view of the glaciers and the surrounding four-thousanders. From Testa Grigia, the cable car continues to Breuil-Cervinia in Italy. Thus, the cable car as the “Matterhorn Alpine Crossing” connects Switzerland with Italy.
