The canton of St. Gallen borders Lake Constance in the north, encloses the Appenzellerland and reaches the borders of Glarus and Graubünden in the south. The capital of the canton is the eponymous city of St. Gallen, which is famous for the UNESCO certified Abbey District. The city is also known for a rich history in the textile industry and the legendary OLMA bratwurst. The picturesque Toggenburg with the mountain range of the Churfirsten belongs to this region as well as the enchanting Lake Walen and the wide St. Gallen Rhine Valley. In the west, St. Gallen extends to Lake Zurich with Schmerikon and Rapperswil
