Easy snowshoe tour to the Wetterhorn

You drive from Interlaken to Grindelwald to the starting point of the snowshoe hike. From Grindelwald you hike with snowshoes for about 2 to 2.5 hours through the mountain terrain. The snowshoes make hiking much easier. On the way you have magnificent views of the Wetterhorn, the upper Grindelwald glacier, the First ski area and the Schynige Platte.

At the mountain hut Ischboden you have the possibility to visit the alpine bird park. The view of the Eiger north face is impressive. The tour ends at the Wetterhorn parking lot. Afterwards you will be driven back to Interlaken.

Practical Information:

• Bring along: Ski gloves, ski or winter hiking pants and jacket, camera, drinks, sun cream and sunglasses
• If you have a longer journey, please inform the organizer after booking. This is important in case of weather-related cancellations or rebookings.
• If you want to start the tour directly in Grindelwald, please contact the provider after booking.

• Meeting point at the OUTDOOR Interlaken Base
• Adjust equipment and drive to Grindelwald
• Briefing and instructions
• Approximately 2-2.5 hours snowshoe hike
• Drive back to Interlaken

• Bring along: Warm, preferably waterproof winter clothing
• Minimum age 8 years (under 12 years only in company of an adult)
• Good physical condition
