Davos Snowkite Taster Course Beginner

Do you like to race on your skis or snowboard over snowy slopes? Then this snowkite taster course is perfect for you. Here you will learn your first flight maneuvers and control techniques. At the end of the course you will be able to ride your first tracks on your skis or snowboard with the power of the wind. The course takes place in the beautiful area of Davos, which is the perfect training area with its perfectly groomed slopes.

In Davos you will meet your snowkite instructor and the rest of the group. Then, depending on the weather conditions, you will drive to the most suitable snowkiting location. Once there, you will first be introduced to the theory and learn how to set up the kite correctly. The safety system will also be explained to you so that the course runs without any nasty surprises.

During the next hours you will learn how to snowkite. As soon as you have set up your kite and it is flying in the air, you will be taught the first flight maneuvers and control techniques. At the end of the taster course you will be able to make your first laps on the slope on your own. At the end of the course you will make your way back to Davos with the rest of the group, from where you will depart individually.

Practical information:

• Ski or snowboard knowledge is required
• No previous kiting knowledge required
• Wind conditions: for snowkiting 6-7 knots is ideal
• Snow conditions: for beginners not too much fresh snow is perfect.

In recent years, snowkiting has become the new trend sport in winter. All you need is snow, wind, a snowboard or skis and a kite. The sport has evolved from skiing or snowboarding and kitesurfing. It is therefore the perfect winter activity for adventurous sportsmen. Thanks to the stable surface on the snow, it is easier to learn than kitesurfing on the water. So even as a beginner you will be able to ride the first meters after a few hours.
