Bike Day Pass
You use the Bike Day Pass for your all-day excursion in Switzerland. You load your bike yourself. You can travel in both 1st and 2nd class. A ticket for you in this class is required.
With the Day Pass you travel with all means of public transport and other small transport companies. You can see exactly which companies/routes you can use in the table on the area of validity (column 600 Velo). Please make sure to check this before you start your trip. Most shipping companies and mountain railroads do not transport bicycles.
Practical information:
- You can find the SBB coverage for bicycles in this table. Please check column T600 Velo (Ja) in the table. Note that most cable cars and shipping companies do not transport bicycles.
- From March to October, a bicycle reservation is mandatory on InterCity (IC) trains.
- All year round on international trains EuroCity (EC), InterCityExpress (ICE), Railjet (RJX) and InterCity (IC) Zurich HB-Singen/Stuttgart a reservation is mandatory for the Swiss sections.
Swiss Activities Tip
If you only ride short distances on public transport that cost less than 14 CHF, the Bike Day Pass is not worth it. Instead, buy a "normal" bike ticket for this route or zone.
