Rossinière is a municipality in the canton of Vaud at 920 m above sea level, located in the heart of the Gruyère Pays-d'Enhaut Regional Nature Park. There are beautiful hiking trails through the foothills of the Alps. Lac du Vernex, a reservoir on the Saane, is also located in the municipality. Worth seeing is a stone arch bridge over the river (Vers le Pont), which was built in 1785. There is another interesting bridge to the west of the reservoir: The Pont du Lanciau is one of the first railroad bridges whose supporting framework is made of hollow sections. The single-track, meter-gauge narrow-gauge line of the Montreux Bernese Oberland Railway (MOB) runs over it. (Photo: Switzerland Tourism, Marcus Gyger)
