Rafting tour Vorderrhein with optional barbecue

Embark on an exciting rafting tour through the Rhine Gorge. Maneuver through the Rhine surrounded by steep limestone walls and high rock towers and enjoy an optional extensive barbecue.

You will be picked up in Ilanz for your tour. After a short walk to the base, you will meet your guide. After you have received all the important information and your equipment, you will head to the embarkation point. There, your guide will introduce you to the most important procedures, safety measures and paddling instructions.

The rafting tour takes you through the impressive Rhine Gorge and its high rock towers. In between, you can expect some lively rapids. In the heart of the gorge, in Versam, a delicious barbecue awaits you on the riverbank, if you have booked one.

Your tour ends with a small aperitif in Reichenau, where your luggage will be waiting for you.

Practical information:

• In case of illness, consult a doctor in advance
• Bring swimming gear, a towel and a small daypack
• Depending on the weather, heat-insulating sports underwear is recommended
• Good swimming skills are expected, no rafting experience necessary
• Self-catering instead of a barbecue is also possible

The Vorderrhein is a popular region for hiking. From Reichenau, you can hike over the 100 m long Punt Ruinalta suspension bridge to Bonaduzerwald. The 27 km route back to Ilanz is also worth the effort and can be combined with the Rhine Gorge bus.
