Ticket Postbus Pass Panorama Express between Müstair and Tirano
Your journey begins either in Müstair or in Tirano. From Müstair, the Postbus line 821 first travels through the Münstertal valley and along the Umbrail Pass. This line is a Panorama Express.
At the Stelvio (Stilfserjoch) at 2757 m above sea level, you have reached the second highest mountain pass in the Alps. The view of the serpentines leading down to Bormio is just as beautiful as the view of the mountains.
This direct connection is only available once a day and in each direction. We therefore recommend that you do not get off the train on this route. You can make your way back from the Upper Engadine or from Tirano on the Rhaetian Railway, which runs regularly throughout the day.
Route:
The post bus takes 2:55 hours for this route.
Practical information:
Every year in the first week of July, hundreds of motorcyclists meet at the Stelvio Pass. It is known as the "International Meeting".
