The Pontirone Gorge is located in the canton of Ticino, near the town of Biasca. The lower section is one of the most impressive canyons in Ticino with exciting climbing passages, a 40-metre-high waterfall and a winding rocky channel full of rushing water. In places, the gorge offers a cave-like canyon experience in a class of its own. Hikes along the gorge give you spectacular views and are ideal for photographers. You can also swim in the natural pools or simply take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters of the river.
