Night sledging with fondue fun Niederhorn incl. sledge hire ticket from Interlaken

• Pick-up: from 18:15 at the Niederhorn mountain station
• Return: by 22:10 at the Vorsass middle station at the latest (last cable car descent at 22:20!)

On Fridays and Saturdays, you can experience night sledging on the Niederhorn over 3 km of sledge run, which is illuminated by lanterns.

From Interlaken West, take the Postbus (line 101) at 17:05 to Beatenberg to the Niederhornbahn valley station. From there, take the mountain railroad via the Vorsass middle station up to the summit of the Niederhorn.

The sledge is available at the Niederhorn mountain station. A headlamp and ski helmet are recommended.

As long as the cable car is running, you can keep going up and sledging down.

Dinner: Cheese fondue (optional): Optionally, you can enjoy a cheese fondue including mulled wine in the Berghaus Niederhorn before sledging. This meal can be selected when booking.

With your rental sledge, you ride at night along illuminated paths from the mountain station (from the Niederhorn illuminated sign) to the Vorsass middle station. The descent takes about half an hour. You will descend 370 meters in altitude.

At the end, you return the rental sledge and take the Postbus back to Interlaken.

Practical information:

• Also suitable for beginners and older children
• Within the opening hours you can sledge as often as you like and go back up again.

The Niederhorn, the southernmost peak of the Güggisgrat, reaches 1963 m above sea level and offers a wonderful view of Lake Thun. Take a few minutes before the sledge run and enjoy the evening view. You can see the lake with lights all around and the Bernese Alps in the background.

• From 18:35 to 21:35, the gondola lift runs continuously between Vorsass middle station and Niederhorn mountain station.
• Last descents from Vorsass to Beatenberg with PostBus connection to Thun and Interlaken: 21:20 / 21:50 / 22:20

• Dress: Winter clothing and sturdy shoes
• Take along: Ski helmet and headlamp recommended
• Note the Postbus timetable (line 101 Interlaken West Bahnhof - Beatenberg)
• Deposit of 30.- for sledges
