The municipality of Nendaz is located in the canton of Valais and spans a picturesque high plateau in the Rhône Valley. It comprises 15 villages, including Aproz, situated between the Rhône plain (460 m above sea level) and the highest village, Siviez, at 1730 m above sea level. Haute-Nendaz is the main village. It is part of the "4 Vallées" ski area and a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts with over 400 kilometers of ski slopes. In summer, hiking along historic irrigation channels (Suonen) and breathtaking panoramas attract visitors. Nendaz is known for its traditional charm, alpine festivals, and the preservation of customs such as horn playing.
