Guided tour of Heidi's home in the Heidi Village in Maienfeld

Discover the original setting of the world-famous story of Heidi. Based on this story, 12 feature films, 4 musicals and 8 animated films have been created. Here you will dive into the famous Heidi myth and discover the world of 1880.

The tour starts at 10:15 am at the village store in the Heidi village. From here you will first walk through the Heidi village. Your guide will share a lot of exciting information about the village of 1880 with you, so you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the life of that time.

The tour continues to the famous Heidi house, the village school and the alpine hut. Here you will discover more original locations that will immerse you in the Heidi myth. Discover straw beds and cooking places with cast-iron kettles over the open fire.

The tour ends at 11:30 am. After the tour you have the possibility to visit individually all other buildings in the Heidi village.

• The tour is aimed at adults, but children aged 8 and over are welcome
• Address parking lot Heididorf for navigation: Bovelweg 16 in Maienfeld
• Not suitable for wheelchairs and baby carriages
• Minimum number of participants 4 persons (final decision the day before 16:00, cancellation will be communicated by e-mail by 17:00 at the latest)

If your hunger has grown after this exciting visit and the many impressions, then we recommend a visit to the restaurant Heidihof, directly at the parking lot of the Heidi village. You can expect excellent Swiss cuisine, warm hospitality and a great ambience. In summer there is a large terrace at your disposal.
