Funicular Monte Brè Ticket from Lugano Cassarate

With the funicular railway, you can reach Monte Brè from Lugano Cassarate in 14 minutes across two sections. At the top, you'll be greeted by stunning views of Lake Lugano and the surrounding mountains.

There are light to challenging hiking trails available within an extensive network of paths. Bicycles are only transported in the second section.

Section 1:

• Valley Station: Lugano Cassarate
• Mountain Station: Suvigliana
• The train has a maximum capacity of 30 people and runs continuously from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM every 15 minutes.

Section 2:

• Valley Station: Suvigliana
• Intermediate Stations: Albonago - Aldesago - Brè Villaggio
• Mountain Station: Monte Brè
• The train accommodates up to 68 people and operates continuously from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM every 30 minutes. In summer, the operating hours are extended in the evening.

Practical Information:

• Strollers: Folded or closed strollers and buggies are transported for free. They must fit through the turnstile at the entrance and exit.
• Wheelchairs cannot be transported.
• Small dogs (up to a maximum height of 30 cm at the shoulder) can ride for free in a suitable container (basket or bag) without their own seat.
• Bicycles are only allowed in Section 2 (for a fee) but must not be heavily soiled.
• At the valley station Lugano Cassarate, there are only a few parking spots available. It's advisable to use public transport (Bus lines 2 and 12 TPL).

Monte Brè is located east of Lugano. At an elevation of 925 m above sea level, it's known as the sunniest mountain in Switzerland. As a viewpoint, it offers a stunning view of Lake Lugano and the bay of Lugano. Surrounding it, you can see the mountains of the Bernese and Valais Alps. Monte Brè is, just like Monte San Salvatore, a local mountain for Lugano. The extensive network of hiking trails features paths for all skill levels.
