Lostallo is a small municipality in the Moesa area in the region of Grisons. It is situated 426 m above sea level in the center of the beautiful Mesolcina Valley. The municipality consists of the four different hamlets of Sorte, Cabbiolo, Arabella and Lostallo. To the east, Italy borders the municipality with the Italian province of Sondrio. To the north the village of Soazza borders Lostallo, to the west Cauco and to the south Cama. The Moesa River meanders through the commune. The north-south axis of the A13 highway is also located here. Compared to other municipalities in the Mesolcina Valley, Lostallo lies in an unusually flat area. Several mighty mountains surround the valley. At 2690 m above sea level, the Piz di Groven stands out in particular. Worth seeing are several cup stones in Lostallo.
