Things to Do in Linthal 2025

Linthal is located north of the headwaters of the Linth River in the upper Linth Valley. In the village there is the valley station of a funicular railroad, which takes you to the car-free village of Braunwald. In Linthal stands the Patent Bridge, a double bridge over the Linth Gorge. Two large reservoirs of the Linth - Limmern power plants are popular destinations. The Limmerensee is situated at 1857 m above sea level and the Muttsee at 2448 m above sea level near the Kistenpass to Brigels. Linthal is also the starting point of the Klausen pass road.
