Description
With the ticket, you can use the shuttle on Lake Zurich between Rapperswil and the island of Ufenau. Within the 24 hours that your ticket is valid, you can travel this route and stay on the island of Ufenau for as long as you like. If you want, you can also continue by boat to Pfäffikon and return to Rapperswil by train, as the ticket is valid for ZVV zones 180 and 181..
Practical information:
- Suitable for: wheelchair users, strollers, dogs (over 30 cm with a 2nd class ticket for dogs)
- Bringing a bike is not guaranteed (bike ticket required)
Swiss Activities Tip
The island Ufenau is the largest Swiss island that isn't connected to the mainland by a bridge. It has a very idyllic landscape and nature that is nationally protected. You can see beautiful vineyards and moor landscapes. Often visited are the monastery of Einsiedeln, founded in the 10th century with the Black Madonna, and the church of Peter and Paul, which dates back to the 12th century.

- Riding in a wheelchair in 2nd class (1st class also possible on the MS Panta Rhei)
- Wheelchair must be a maximum of 80 cm wide
- MS Bachtel has no wheelchair-accessible toilets
- Staff will assist if needed at all docks when boarding
