Melide is a place that gained significance as a trading and customs location by the 15th century. The Seedamm is a dam built in the 19th century, which allows for a lakeside path all the way to Bissone. Here, you can also find Swissminiatur. It showcases about 130 notable points of Switzerland in model form, spread across 14,000 m² and built at a scale of 1:25. Melide also has a Lido beach, a large park with a playground, and beautiful hiking trails.
