Day ticket Lake Brienz by boat

Travel between Interlaken Ost and Brienz by boat as often as you like during the day. Get off at any stop and enjoy a visit to a village or harbor or walk along the shore to the next boat stop. You can enjoy the whole day with this ticket and get on and off flexibly. Please note the current timetables. The boat does not call at all stops on a single trip. They vary depending on the course.

• Travel time between Interlaken Ost and Brienz: 1 hour 13 minutes
• Between Interlaken Ost and Brienz with up to 5 intermediate stops

Practical information:

• Family day ticket available for 2 adults and a maximum of 4 children up to the age of 16
• Suitable for: Families, wheelchair users, dogs
• Picnic allowed (not in the restaurant)

• Access to the main deck (2nd class) is possible on all BLS passenger ships.
• Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available on all passenger ships.
• On the MS Stadt Thun and MS Berner Oberland, the upper deck (1st class) is accessible by lift (no electric wheelchairs)

• Small dogs up to 30 cm are carried free of charge if they remain in a transport container for the entire journey.
• Dogs without a container and all dogs over 30 cm shoulder height require a valid dog ticket at half the price of 2nd class, but no more than CHF 10.00 (dog day pass).
• The dog day ticket and the SBB dog GA are valid on all scheduled boat trips.
• Dogs are permitted both inside the ship and in the ship's restaurant.

At Lake Brinz, you have the option of taking a hike between the stops and getting back on at the next stop. The walking times vary:

• Interlaken Ost to Ringgenberg: approx. 1 hour
• Ringgenberg to Niederried and Niederried to Ovberried: approx. 1.5 hours each
• Brienz to Oberried approx. 2.5 hours.
• An exit at the Giessbach See stop takes you directly to the nearby Giessbach Falls, which drop down in 14 steps.
