Laax is a municipality in the Surselva between the Laax gorge and the Vorab glacier. Besides the village of Laax, the municipality also includes the well-known resorts of Flims and Falera. In their entirety, the three villages are also known as the Alpenarena ski area in winter. All three villages are situated at 1100 to 1200 meters above sea level. Lake Laax and the smaller Lag digl Oberst are popular destinations for excursions. The five-meter-high erratic boulder Crap Fraissen (Eschenstein) above Lake Laax is worth seeing.
