Kilchberg is located on the western side of Lake Zurich. The Lindt & Sprüngli chocolate factory has its headquarters here. The municipality also includes the Zimmerberg, a chain of hills between the Sihl Valley and the left shore of Lake Zurich. On it stands the village's Reformed church, which dates from the 13th century. Two Neolithic lakeside settlements have been found in Kilchberg: Mönchhof / Bendlikon and Schooren. On the grounds of the estate "Uf Stocken" the "Kilchberger Schwinget" has been held every 6 years since 1927. Only the 60 best swimmers in Switzerland are invited. Therefore, a winner achieves a special status. (Photo: Lindt Home of Chocolate)
