Cable car Kandersteg Oeschinensee Ticket
The cable car runs with 8-seater gondolas from Kandersteg and takes just under 5 minutes to the mountain station.
- Valley station: Kandersteg (1200 m above sea level)
- Mountain station: Oeschinen (1680 m above sea level)
In summer, you can hike from the Oeschinen mountain station to Lake Oeschinen in around 30 minutes. There is also an electric shuttle for people with reduced mobility. You can also take the summer toboggan run from the Oeschinen mountain station.
In winter, you can sledge or hike from the mountain station to Lake Oeschinen. The hiking trail down to Kandersteg cannot be used in winter.
Practical information:
- The Junior Card is valid on the Kandersteg Oeschinensee gondola lift. As soon as you show it at the ticket office, you will receive a Junior Card gondola lift ticket free of charge.
- The e-shuttle is primarily reserved for people with reduced mobility.
Gondola lift and e-shuttle timetable
Gondola lift:
- In summer: mid-May to end of October: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (mid-June to mid-September until 6:00 pm)
- In winter: Mid-December to mid-March: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
E-Shuttle:
- Between the Oeschinen mountain station and Lake Oeschinen: from mid-May to the end of October
- The e-shuttle runs every half hour (or when full) daily from 11:00 to 16:30, in summer until 17:30.
- No seats are guaranteed. Therefore, these tickets cannot be booked in advance.
Important Information
- Check the cable car timetable on the day of your trip
- Starting May 2025, you'll need a time slot reservation for your ride on the cable car.
