Stanserhornbahn Ticket Details
The Stanserhorn cable car runs from April to November on the Stanserhorn and takes just under 25 minutes.
- Bottom station: Stans (450 m above sea level)
- Middle station: Kälti (714 m above sea level)
- top station: Stanserhorn (1850 m a.s.l.)
A stop at the former Bluematt station is possible on request. If you want to board here after a hike, just pick up the phone in Bluematt and you are connected to the station in Kälti. On the summit there is a revolving restaurant designed in the shape of a star.

Swiss Activities Tip
The Stanserhorn has a very beautiful summit walk. You need about 30 min for it and encounter a marmot enclosure on the way. The path starts at the mountain restaurant and leads first to the Adlerfluh. From here you have a good view far into the Obwaldnerland and towards Brünig. On the way you will quickly meet rangers. If you wish, they will explain the nature or give you the names of the mountains around. The path climbs gently to the summit, which offers a stunning view. You can see up to 100 km of the Alps and ten lakes.
The Stanserhorn is also very popular as a launch site for hang gliders and paragliders. The Deltaclub Stans has been active here since the 1970s.
