Description
Freeriding is the term used to describe snowboarding off-piste through untouched terrain. It is one of the most beautiful ways to discover the fantastic snowy landscape of the Zermatt mountain region. Ride for a whole day with a qualified mountain guide through the white snow fields next to the normal slopes of the ski area.
Meet your mountain guide at 08:30 at the Klein Matterhorn valley station. You then take the cable car up to the ski area. Once at the top, the snowboarding experience really gets going. Depending on the snow conditions and the ability of the participants, you will ride together through the untouched powder snow. The runs include exciting glaciers and couloirs.
At lunchtime, you take an hour's break in one of the mountain restaurants. In the afternoon, it's back to the fresh snow. The activity ends at around 16:00 back down in the ski area.
Practical information:
- Participants: 1-6 people
- Avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe and airbag can be hired in Zermatt
- For group bookings, skiers and snowboarders may ski together in one group
- Please contact the organizer 2-3 days before the tour to discuss details
