Outdoor fondue fun in Zermatt Experience under the stars

In this unique experience, you will discover the cozy atmosphere of the Zermatt forests under a clear starry sky. In the middle of the forest, a bubbling fondue awaits you over a crackling fire, which you can enjoy with a suitable drink in the company of other participants.

You take the Zermatt-Furi gondola to the mountain station Furi. From there, you walk about 5 to 10 minutes on your own to the firepit, where your guide will be waiting for you.

Outside in the fresh air, you will now enjoy a typical Swiss fondue in front of the crackling fire. After the fondue, you will return to the starting point in Zermatt.

Practical Information

• Duration: approx. 2 hours (including about 10 min ride on the gondola or alternatively 1 hour of hiking, 15 minutes from the Furi station to the firepit and 50 minutes back to the village)

You take the Zermatt-Furi cable car up to the mountain station Furi. From there, you walk alone to the fireplace. Your guide is waiting for you at the fire.

The following times apply for the last cable car ride from Zermatt:

November - 31 January:

• Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 16:50 (Ski day ticket is valid)
• Meeting point at the fireplace: 17:15
• Tuesday, Thursday: Extra ride at 18:30 (Ski day ticket is not valid)
• Meeting point at the fireplace: 19:00

February - 21 April:

• Wednesday, Friday, Saturday: 17:30 (Ski day ticket is valid)
• Meeting point at the fireplace: 18:00
• Tuesday, Thursday: Extra ride at 18:30 (Ski day ticket is not valid)
• Meeting point at the fireplace: 19:00

This activity offers you a special view of the clear night sky on a cloudless night, as it can be particularly well admired in the forests of Zermatt due to the low light pollution in the region.
