From Conthey you drive with your guide for about half an hour to the destination. You will fish under the guidance of the guide in two mountain lakes of the valley of Derborence. They are connected by a few meters of river. The upper and lower lakes of Liapey are very clear and allow you to observe the fish very well. The rich fish stock of the lakes has rainbow trout, fario or the magnificent fountain salmon. The variety of fish species and sizes makes fishing interesting and varied.
At the same time you will gain information:
The fish you catch (maximum two) you get to take home.
Practical information:
The mountain lakes of Liapey are located about 1300 m above sea level within a federal hunting ban area. The two connected lakes in the valley of Derborence together with the pine forest surrounding them form a nature reserve. The lakes were formed at the end of the 18th century after a landslide of Les Diablerets to the north.
The natural paradise is accessible only by an adventurous road and is idyllically situated in a valley basin. It is a quiet and popular hiking area.
If you want to take your self-caught fish home, you should have a cloth and plastic bag with you. Your guide will show you how to stun, kill and gut the fish. You can take the gutted fish with you.
