Eglisau is situated in the Canton of Zurich directly on the Rhine River, close to the German border. The historic old town, with its half-timbered houses, is definitely worth a visit. The railway bridge from 1897 spans the Rhine with a length of 457 m and a height of 50 m. The stone road bridge was built in 1919.
