From Zurich: Bus tour to the Rhine Falls half day

The Rhine Falls is one of the most important tourist attractions in Switzerland. Travel on a section of the Grand Tour of Switzerland in a comfortable coach from Zurich to the beautiful northern part of Switzerland. You board the comfortable coach in the morning and are greeted by the tour guide. The bus will take you from Zurich to the castle of Laufen in the north of Switzerland. During the trip the multilingual guide will tell you a lot about Swiss history and culture.

Once you arrive at Schloss Laufen, the highlight of the day awaits you. Take the castle's glass elevator down to the Rhine Falls. The panorama path Belvedere leads you to the waterfall and from the viewing platform "Känzeli" you are directly at the roaring and foaming water. Optionally, you can experience the spectacle up close with a boat trip in summer.

To learn more about the natural spectacle, you can visit the Historama in Schloss Laufen. On two floors in the north wing of the castle, the historical significance of the place and the influence of the Rhine Falls on nature, society, but also on prominent visitors is explained.

On the way back you will pass Schaffhausen with its 16th century Munot fortress. Then the bus will take you back to Zurich.

One of the landmarks of Zurich is the Grossmünster. If you visit Zurich, you should definitely pay a visit to the historic church. What many people don't know, however, is that you can also climb one of the two towers. Climb up a narrow spiral staircase to the top of the tower and admire the unique view over the city.
