It is not surprising that Lucerne is one of the most beautiful and charming cities in Switzerland. After all, it is a jewel of medieval architecture and is full of sights and cultural institutions. A short boat ride away from the city is the famous Bürgenstock Resort.
During this day trip you will have the opportunity to explore the city of Lucerne and its surroundings.
In the morning at 9:30 a.m. you board the modern coach in Zurich and are welcomed by the tour guide. A modern coach will take you comfortably to Lucerne. On the way there, you will see the idyllic Swiss landscape pass by the windows. The tour guide will tell you about history and traditions. A short photo stop is made at Lake Lucerne. The turquoise lake and the mountains in the background make a dreamlike motif.
This is followed by an orientation tour of Lucerne. The tour guide points out the most important sights. These include the richly decorated Jesuit Church and the Chapel Bridge. Afterwards you have enough time to explore Lucerne on your own. Let yourself drift through the alleys of the old town or visit one of the many cozy cafes.
Strengthened, you will then continue your individual journey to Lake Lucerne. Take the modern Bürgenstock shuttle to Kehrsiten. From there you take the famous Bürgenstock Railway. This old-fashioned funicular takes you up to the Bürgenstock. Famous guests like Charlie Chaplin, Audrey Hepburn or Sean Connery have visited this place in the past.
Once at the top, you can take an easy hike if you wish. There are plenty of hiking trails here. Alternatively, you can stop at one of the typical inns and take in the breathtaking view.
In the late afternoon you return to Lucerne by funicular and boat, where the coach is waiting to take you back to Zurich.
