From Lucerne: Day trip to Berne with Kambly and cheese tasting

Switzerland is world famous for its charming cities and culinary specialties. This day trip allows you to get to know both. You will discover the beautiful capital of Switzerland on a guided city tour.

Culinary wise you will enjoy a tasting at Kambly as well as at the show dairy of Emmentaler. This day trip is therefore suitable for gourmets and city strollers as well as for connoisseurs and nature lovers.

The guided day trip starts at 09:30 in Lucerne, where you board a modern minibus. On the way to Bern, the coach will take you through the Entlebuch region, Switzerland's first UNESCO biosphere reserve. While you observe the impressive natural landscape from the coach, the tour guide will explain more about the traditions of the farmers living here.

The first stop of this day trip is at the Kambly Erlebniswelt. Here, a tasting of the famous Bretzeli, a baking specialty of Switzerland, awaits you. After you have pampered your palate with this traditional Swiss sugar pastry, you will continue on to Bern.

The capital of Switzerland has a lot to offer in terms of sightseeing. The tour guide will inform you about the history of the city and provide you with interesting facts about the buildings and alleys of Bern. Afterwards you have enough time to explore Bern on your own. At noon, a meal in one of the many restaurants is highly recommended.

Strengthened by lunch, you will continue by coach in the direction of Emmental. In the show dairy you can watch live how the world famous Emmental cheese is made. Afterwards you can of course taste it yourself.

After the visit of the show dairy you will stop by at a nearby farm. There you will see how the cows graze on the green hills and produce the main ingredient of the cheese. In the afternoon you will return to Lucerne by minibus.

During your free time in Bern, you can't miss a visit to the Bear Park. This park, located on the Aare River, is home to Finn, Björn and Ursina. If you're lucky, you might even see the bears taking a refreshing dip in the Aare.
