Davos encompasses almost the entire Landwasser Valley and is the second largest residential area in Graubünden with about 11000 inhabitants. Davos is located at over 1560 m above sea level and is known for winter sports such as ice hockey and cross-country skiing. With 700 km of trails for hiking, 300 km of ski slopes and 150 km for snowshoeing, it is considered an absolute natural paradise. Davos and Klosters are located between 54 mountain peaks (2238 to 3146 m above sea level), sunny valleys and Lake Davos. The region is famous for its picture-book landscapes at any time of the year. The Wiesen Viaduct and the Kirchner Museum Davos are just two of the many cultural assets in Davos.
