Saxeten Gorge Canyoning for beginners in Interlaken

The tour in the Saxeten Gorge in the Bernese Oberland is the perfect introduction to a unique water adventure.

Not far from Interlaken you will have your first canyoning experience in the Saxeten Gorge with experienced and licensed guides.

After you have been picked up at the pre-arranged location, you will meet your guides at the Summer Base of Outdoor Interlaken in Matten near Interlaken....

Together with your guide you prepare the equipment for canyoning. Afterwards you will go by car in about 10 minutes to the starting point of the canyon, the Saxeten Gorge.

At the starting point of the canyon you will be briefed in detail. The following 1.5 to 2 hours you will spend in the canyon. Here you will complete optional jumps, natural rock slides, rappels and swim sections. All obstacles can be avoided on this tour. So you can always decide for yourself how far you want to go.

At the beginning there is a 10 m rappel. The highlight is the 5 m deep jump into the water, which you can optionally skip. The rest of the jumps are between 1 and 2 m deep. Another thing you can't miss on a canyoning tour is a rock slide. The Superman rock slide is the longest on the route.

For beginners and those who are interested, this taster tour offers everything that canyoning as a sport contains. Therefore, it is perfect for a first insight at an easy level with an incredible amount of fun!

At the end of the tour you get a drink for refreshment and are driven back to the base.
