Slides and pools at Alpamare

You'll never get bored on 12 slides at Alpamare. Whiz down more than 2 km of slides into the swirling pools. The slides are for young and old and have no age group restrictions except for the following slide:

  • Jungle Run Slide: On this slide, you and a sliding partner can have a parallel side-by-side slide race for 220 meters. You can compare your slide times on a screen at the end. This slide is the only slide that is allowed for everyone over 8 years old and has the highest degree of difficulty.
  • Balla Balla Slide: This slide is legendary. in 1999, Alpamare entered the Guinness Book of Records with this 261-meter slide. With special light and water effects, you'll experience a slide that spins you around - true to its name!
  • Mini Canyon Slide: This slide is especially recommended for parents with small children. The classic slide has the lowest degree of difficulty and you can slide down the tunnel very leisurely.
  • Triple Slide: On the Triple Slide, smaller children get their money's worth: on three parallel tracks, they can slide down together side by side into the shallow pool
  • IceXpress Slide: The slide resembles an ice channel in terms of its inner shape and whirls you through 11 curves 158 meters down into the water. The action-packed slide lasts between 25 and 30 seconds.
  • Alpabob Slide: Plunge onto one of the rubber tires and relax as you ride down the slide in alternating fast and short rapids. The Alpabob slide has a medium degree of difficulty. Families especially like to use it.
  • King Cone slide: This slide has it all. On rubber tires, you'll be flushed down through three tunnel funnels on flowing water. The slide has a length of 158 meters and will impress you with inner light effects.
  • Cresta Canyon Slide: Cresta Canyon is both an indoor and outdoor slide with small tunnels. You slide down on rubber tires.
  • Tornado Slide: At 97 meters, a whirlwind slide with tunnels and an action-packed waterfall finale undoubtedly awaits you.
  • Thriller Slide: The slide is 130 meters long and guarantees you a unique sound experience while riding on the rubber tires. You slide down through the mysterious darkness and are accompanied by light effects through 20000 glass fibers

If you're looking for a swim or prefer to take it easy, you can really enjoy yourself at the following four spas:

  • Wave pool: When you dive into the wave pool, you're guaranteed to get those vacation feelings. The bath is surrounded by a tropical palm landscape. Every half hour you can throw yourself into 1.20 meter high waves. The water temperature is a pleasant 30 degrees
  • Alpa Therme bath: At 32 degrees, the Alpa Therme pool is slightly warmer than the wave pool. Here you can really relax indoors at the massage jets and bubble loungers. The big highlight is the sounds under water. The nearby cold water pool with 16 degrees water temperature serves everyone who needs a short cooling down in between.
  • Rio Mare Bath: You will find the pool in the outdoor area under the open sky. Here you have a wonderful view of Lake Zurich from the pool. You can experience a special swimming experience on the 100 meter long swimming river and a circular stream
  • Solebad: You will find the purest relaxation for your body in the 36 degree warm brine bath with massage jets. It is open to bathers over 16 years old and is located in the outdoor area under the open sky. It also includes two whirlpools.

Wellness at Alpamare

Do something good for body, mind and soul and choose from various offers in the area of body treatment and massage.

The Alpamare also has a large sauna area with three saunas and a separate ladies' and men's area. When visiting the steam bath, you can also strengthen your immune system and later rest in the relaxation area.

Massage offer: Choose between the classic and the hot stone massage. In the time intervals you can book a massage for 30, 60 or 90 minutes. The massage is not included in the entrance fee and costs extra. You also have the possibility to book a subscription.

Massage packages: For 2 people you can reserve special booking packages, which include the entrance fee, a hot and cold drink and a small snack, in addition to the treatment. Bathing utensils such as towels, slippers and bathrobes are also included.

For all bathers who get hungry and thirsty during their stay, there are two restaurants inside the Alpamare.

Alpagrill Restaurant In the Alpagrill you get your food via the self-service option with a special experience extra: on site you have the possibility to grill your food yourself. The restaurant is located on the second floor of the Alpamare

Getting to Alpamare

You can reach Alpamare from Zurich by public transport or car in about half an hour to three-quarters of an hour. If you decide to take the train, you can benefit from a small discount on your entrance fee to Alpamare.

By car

It's 37 km from Zurich to the swimming experience at Alpamare by car. The fastest route takes you via the A3 motorway in 28 minutes. You exit at Seedamm-Center. You can already see Alpamare from the road. The entrance is clearly marked.

By public transport

From Zurich, you can take the S2, S5, or S8 trains for about 45 minutes, following the rail line along Lake Zurich to the Pfäffikon SZ station. From there, you can either walk along the main road towards Chur, a distance of about 1500 m, which takes around 20 minutes.

Alternatively, you can catch the bus from Pfäffikon station, which takes 6 minutes. Get off at the Seedamm-Center stop. From there, it’s just a few minutes on foot to the entrance of Alpamare.

If you travel to Alpamare by public transport, you enjoy a 10% discount on your entrance fee.

Practical Information about Alpamare

What to watch out for

Pay attention to the instructions of the lifeguards, especially in outdoor areas during thunderstorms. Usually, the pools and slides are temporarily closed for the safety of swimmers during thunder and lightning. Children under 12 years of age can only enter Alpamare accompanied by an adult. Swimming lessons are conducted under the supervision of swimming instructors. The tiled areas outside the pool can become wet and slippery, so be cautious on damp spots to avoid slipping and falling.

What to bring

Don't forget to bring your swim gear, including a towel and swimwear. Bring some cash for a quick snack at the Rio or Alpagrill restaurant. If needed, swim floats for the little ones in your family who can't swim yet.

More practical information

Take advantage of discounted digital ticket booking and order your ticket online. If you arrive at Alpamare after 5 PM, you’ll get a reduced evening entrance fee from Sunday to Thursday.

School classes and groups like children’s birthday parties are also warmly welcomed at the water park. There are discounts on entrance fees for groups of 12 or more.
